Clip tracking and payout infrastructure for clipping campaigns
insy is not an agency. It is the layer a clipping campaign runs on: it counts the views, checks who posted them, holds the budget and pays clippers from what was measured. You keep the content, the brief and the decisions. It works the same for a brand, an agency running client campaigns, or a creator paying their own clippers.

Infrastructure, not an agency
An agency sells you an outcome and runs the campaign inside its own tools. insy gives you those tools. The split is simple:
insy handles
- Campaign setup: balance, rates, minimums, caps, rules
- View tracking on TikTok, Reels and Shorts
- Clipper account verification and traffic scoring
- Budget control: the campaign cannot overspend
- Settlement and payouts to clippers, with a record of each
- A public catalog where clippers find your campaign
You keep
- The source content and the rights to it
- The brief and the creative direction
- Approving or rejecting each clip
- Choosing the rate, minimum, cap and window
What you set before launch
Each campaign is self-contained. Everything that affects payouts is configured before it starts, and that version of the settings is kept.
- Its own balance
- Each campaign has its own balance and settlement currency, funded up front. The balance is the campaign's maximum cost.
- Rate, minimum and cap per platform
- TikTok, Instagram and YouTube each get their own rate per 1,000 views, minimum payout and per-clip cap. One rate is active at a time; earlier rates stay in the history.
- Rules with a version
- Description, rule list, links to source material and the main audience country. Every clip records which version of the rules it was accepted under.
- Campaign status
- Active, paused by you, paused automatically when the budget runs out, paused for settlement, or archived. Status decides whether clips can be submitted and approved.
How views are counted
The hard part of pay-per-view. A platform counter has to be read again and again, every reading has to be kept, and you need to know why a reading is missing.
| Reading | Views | Growth | Payout | Signal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aug 12, 9:00 AM | 18,400 | +18,400 | $18.40 | new |
| Aug 12, 9:00 PM | 61,200 | +42,800 | $42.80 | spike |
| Aug 13, 9:00 AM | 128,400 | +67,200 | $67.20 | growing |
| Aug 13, 9:00 PM | 141,900 | +13,500 | $13.50 | slowing |
Four readings of one clip at the example rate of $1.00 per 1,000 views. Each payout is calculated from the growth since the previous reading. Example data.
- Read by the tracker, not reported
- A separate tracking system reads the platform counters. Clippers do not type in numbers or send screenshots, so they cannot inflate them.
- Every reading kept
- Views, likes, comments, estimated payout, traffic score and the time of the check, stored as a new record each time. Nothing is overwritten.
- From submission, not from approval
- A clip enters tracking as soon as it is submitted, and the balance is recalculated after every reading and every status change. Taking a day to review does not lose views.
- Gaps are visible
- Every measurement cycle is logged and failures are reported, so you can see which clips were not read and why.
- Deleted posts are flagged
- If a clip disappears from the platform, the tracker notices and flags it. That is what makes a keep-it-live-for-N-days rule enforceable.
- Growth signal per clip
- New, growing, spike, declining or stalled, from the pace of view growth. You see which clips are still working.
Settlement and budget control
Views grow over time, so a payout cannot be one event at the end. It has to be a series of events, each of which knows where it started.
Not all of the balance can be spent. $1,035 is held for clips you have already approved but that are not settled yet, which is why “available now” is lower than the balance. The forecast goes lower still, because it reserves money for clips that are still collecting views.
- Incremental settlement
- A payout is calculated from the growth between two readings, not from one reading at the end. A clip that keeps growing is paid in stages, each with its own entry.
- Payouts you can reconstruct
- Each payout points to the exact readings it runs from and to, with the amount in cents. Months later you can show what was paid for.
- Clip statuses
- Pending platform verification, pending your review, approved, rejected, paid, and partially paid when the budget runs out mid-settlement.
- No markup on your budget
- The whole budget goes to clipper payouts. insy's fee is 10% of each payout, deducted from what the clipper receives. Unused budget is returned.
Verification
Bought views hit exactly what you are paying for, so the data needed to catch them is collected on every reading, not on request.
Traffic looks organic
The view curve grows the way organic clips grow, and likes and comments follow it.
Isolated signals
Something in the curve stands out, but not enough to decide. The clip stays in the settlement and you know where to look.
Several signals at once
Independent rules fire on the same clip. This is the point for your decision, based on data rather than a guess from the view count.
The badge is the one the panel puts on each clip thumbnail. Higher means fewer signs of artificial views. The values above are examples.
- Verified accounts
- Before a social account can submit clips, the clipper confirms it with a code. Submissions are tied to a verified account, not to a bare link.
- Traffic score on every reading
- Each reading stores a score for how likely the views are artificial, next to likes and comments. 100,000 views with a dozen reactions shows up in the data.
- A record of every decision
- Submission status changes are logged. Clippers see when and why a clip was approved or rejected; you keep a record of each decision.

Run your own campaign: fund it, write the brief, approve clips. No retainer and no markup on the budget.
